Training, Continuous Professional Development and Induction Programmes
As an integral part of our Quality Policy, our Human Resource Strategy and best management practices drive the implementation of comprehensive programmes of induction, training and continuous professional development for each employee.
Induction covers overall business structure, values, policies and procedures; individual unit health and safety, risk management, quality and operational requirements; individual job responsibilities, reporting, training, standards and regulatory requirements. We include clear briefing on disciplinary criteria and procedures that are rigorously implemented in the interests of best quality health care delivery.
Training and Continuous Professional Development programmes are tailored to each individual's needs, qualifications, professional registrations and role within the organisation. These programmes and their outcomes are assessed as part of personal appraisals, integrated with plans for other team members and continuously updated in line with changes in best practice, standards and regulation.
Each employee is responsible for maintaining a documented personal development plan, prepared annually with a copy held by both the employee and line manager. Personal development plans are used as an integral part of our annual staff performance appraisal process.
